let’s talk patterns

Generally, I would say, let your photos speak for themselves but today I say spice it up!

A little pattern never hurt anyone…I tried to focus on using Native American inspired pattern and art to draw a focal point in each image. Using different techniques in photoshop I produced a different look in each overlay. Enjoy! photography by n.Barrett photography

stop it right there

Machell.Co in Stop-Motion | Perth, Australia from Bayly & Moore on Vimeo.

how fun is this? Stop motion videos of your special day, save the date or engagement. A short, sweet and a lighthearted way to share this time in your life with friends and family. Stop motion (also known as stop frame) is an animation technique to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own. Super cute.

spring sweet

March 11th, 2012 | Posted by Hello Love in Beauty | Flower - (Comments Off)

The wedding of Hilary and Jake was spring sweetness! Fluffy flowers, a manicured garden, and a tower of yumminess! Hilary chose a precious palette of peach, yellow, blush, grey, and white. Moss pomanders and sheer fabric hung in the trees behind the ceremony space and vintage milkglass collections filled the guests tables. As the sun went down, cafe lights strung over the garden created a romantic dreamy atmosphere…

a sweet celebration!

Rock it in Red

March 9th, 2012 | Posted by Hello Love in Parties - (Comments Off)

Yes, we said it: RED. Why run from it? Only one beauty product has the potential to top shoes and accessories when it comes to pulling together the big day: lipstick. The ruby red queen will always be Marilyn Monroe, but no matter your skin tone, red makes an entrance. Here comes the bride: Bam.

I’ve tried all the big brands, and the top two by far are Chanel Rouge Allure in Excessive and MAC’s Ruby Woo. Too bad it isn’t Tuesday – we could’ve done Ruby Tuesday as the title.

Much love,

sitting pretty

March 8th, 2012 | Posted by Hello Love in Paper - (Comments Off)

Custom silhouettes have been making a comeback. Didn’t we all sit in grade school to have ours drawn? Silhouettes are a classic, nostaglic and, as of late, a hip way to add a personal touch to an invitation. The design gives you icons that can easily be added to everything from goodie bags to cookies! I also love the idea of having a professional hand cut silhouettes as favors for your guests during the reception. What a fun and interactive treat! Above invitation found here

all for one…

March 7th, 2012 | Posted by Hello Love in Flower - (Comments Off)

A masse of one type of bloom: classic, modern, vintage. Depending on the flower you choose to carry down the aisle, your look can be as varied as the seasons. Above, blush football mums are girly and textural.

Antique yellow garden roses are clean and classic. Fragrant lilac reads loose and vintage.

Bold coral charm peony are always a favorite. Romantic and lush.

Soft creamy ranunculus appear timeless. White winter berry is full of texture and great alternative to the traditional big bloom.

Palest of Pink dahlia are sculptural and modern.

Cascading calla lilies are both architectural and romantic in this bouquet. White anemones with their dark black center are graphic and dramatic…an eye catcher.
