starts with a spark

It started with one spark and then they fell in LOVE!!! Beautifully captured exits with sparklers. This is one of my favorite exits to shoot because the raw emotion shows through the brilliant sparks.

feminine flannel fashion

November 25th, 2012 | Posted by Hello Love in Uncategorized - (Comments Off)

Transitioning from Fall to Winter (that time of year when it “supposedly” gets cold) I’ve noticed that I’m pulling out a lot of my more masculine flannel shirts. Styling these with a belted waist and pearls is a fabulous way to head into winter without looking like the Brawny Man.

chocolate delight

November 16th, 2012 | Posted by Hello Love in Uncategorized - (Comments Off)

Not every bride is interested in the traditional White Wedding, Some may want a colored dress, a Halloween theme, or maybe they just want to make something match their untraditional tastes — Including the cake!
“When we first met Haley, we knew we were in for a treat!” says Heidi of Sugar Bee Sweets
“I LOVE chocolate!” Haley admitted at her cake consultation. We had discussed all sorts of options and designs with this beautiful bride-to-be, but in the end, she decided the perfect cake for her was an all chocolate cake! The cake was to be a three tier nautical-themed cake, and chocolate: inside and out! Cascading Chocolate ruffles with a chocolate rope and anchors and a chocolate anchor topper were the center of attention. Haley’s cake had become the chocolate lovers dream!

Haley’s cake wasn’t the only cake everyone was talking about! The bride created a surprise cake to perfectly capture Ryan’s favorite things! Included on the cake was a miniature replica of the groom’s backpack that he has had since Kindergarten! We loved working on the tiny backpack and the look on Ryan’s face when he saw his backpack, in sugar form was priceless!

As you go about planning your dream wedding, don’t let the thought of “traditional” make you compromise on what you really want! Let yourself shine on your wedding date! Dare to be different, dare to be bold! And your more “traditional” guests? Well, Let them eat cake!
