Just a leisurely Sunday afternoon brunch shower celebrating the upcoming wedding of two wonderful people, Kevin and Berry, in the urban garden of Mr. Tom Spicer at one sweet long table filled with friends. We had a bloody mary for the mens (and ladies had a few too of course), a lovely little champagne bar for the gals and flowers by Bows and Arrows. It was perfect. The wedding of Hilary and Jake was spring sweetness! Fluffy flowers, a manicured garden, and a tower of yumminess! Hilary chose a precious palette of peach, yellow, blush, grey, and white. Moss pomanders and sheer fabric hung in the trees behind the ceremony space and vintage milkglass collections filled the guests tables. As the sun went down, cafe lights strung over the garden created a romantic dreamy atmosphere…

The details of Emily and Colby’s wedding were nothing short of amazing. The four panel invitation by Southern Fried Paper was inspired by the Mexican folk art of papel picado. (Which literally translates to “punched paper”.) The elaborate designs are traditionally cut from tissue paper using a guide and small chisels, creating as many as forty banners at a time. The invitation panels were laser cut and strung, then folded into the envelope. The escort cards and table numbers were made with paper tags and vintage stamps to continue the handmade theme of the wedding. And who can resist the adorable paper straws and flag stir sticks?
