Flowers and paper are two of the most important design elements of weddings! They both set the stage for the big day, define your style, and allow other things to follow suite and fall into place! Bows and Arrows teamed up with Southern Fried Paper to show you how flowers and paper can work hand in hand and make for a fantastical dynamic duo!
Everyone knows I have a passion for flowers….but I am also bananas for balloons! Give me a bouquet of balloons and watch my face light up! I believe that you don’t always need to go overboard with flowers, other types of decor can be just as stunning, dramatic, and eye catching. Get inspiration on ways to decorate with balloons for your big day. Think centerpieces, escort cards, and dessert table!
Frida Kahlo is a symbol of beauty, creativity, and strength and infamous for her emblematic self portraits. She inspires my work with flowers and head pieces more specifically. Since we are celebrating a week of Cinco de Mayo, here on the blog, I decided to treat myself to a Frida-esque make-over! I rounded up one of my good friends and fellow florist Nicole Hammontree with The Wooly Thistle to help me create a few master pieces.

Plants make great centerpieces! They are fairly inexpensive and will last long after the wedding is over. If you are a DIY bride, plants are a great idea for you! I suggest you think about a few of these green options: olive, rosemary, dusty miller, wheat grass, succulents, myrtle, mint, hypericum, or lambs ear.

I’m not talking about the 90s hit with Christian Slater and Marisa Tomei… although I love it!
Better than that…SAIPUA! Saipua is one of my favorite floral design teams and they are based out of Red Hook, Brooklyn!
